There was only one building – a dark wooden hut – which doubled as a Warden’s hut, Store and tuckshop. It is believed the hut came from the Manchester Ship Canal Company who used it as a workshop? (any details) It is said on the closure of the came site, it was offered to be moved to the current campsite – but was found to be too rotten to move!
